TYPO3 website relaunch for the Kronberg Academy

Challenge

The Kronberg Academy wanted to relaunch its existing website based on TYPO3. This involved redesigning both the concert calendar and the personal database and linking them together. Classic features such as news and Solr search were also to be included on the new site. The premise: to make content maintenance easier! The client wanted to simplify not only the user experience but also the way data and content are maintained for Kronberg Academy employees.

Solution

In close collaboration with Kronberg Academy and its designer, we conducted a series of workshops aimed at identifying and understanding the requirements, wishes, potential challenges and benefits in advance of the actual implementation. This cooperative and agile approach enabled us to realise all the desired features precisely and in line with our client's ideas.

To optimise content management, we implemented an intelligent link between personal profiles and events. Artists who were already stored in the system could now be easily added to events, automatically enriching the concert pages with relevant information. As a direct result, all associated concerts and events were clearly displayed on the artists' profile pages.

In addition, we offered comprehensive training on content maintenance and actively supported the Kronberg Academy in familiarising itself with content maintenance, particularly during the intensive phase prior to the official launch. Through ongoing project management and targeted consulting, we helped the Academy make technically sound and forward-looking decisions. Our collaboration was characterised by a shared desire to achieve excellent results and create an impressive digital presence for the Kronberg Academy.
