Website relaunch with TYPO3 for BARTEC Top Holding GmbH

Challenge

In a global, diverse environment without direct contact with stakeholders, we overcame the challenges posed by the project. Limited IT project experience on the customer side and bringing together the various contacts at the design and concept agency (whybrand) who were involved with us in creating the site were just some of the challenges we faced. We were able to overcome the initial uncertainties in defining the MVP by adapting flexibly to the customer and the circumstances.

Solution

The project required a great deal of initiative in project management and requirements management in order to outline our client's key objectives. To identify the requirements, we conducted various workshops, such as on the product finder and filtering in the contact area. We worked closely with an external design agency. During the project, there were many consultations initiated by us and an active assumption of responsibility within our team.

The project involved the implementation and use of TYPO3 forms with various extensions, such as Form to Database, to improve the export function of the forms. In addition, a Solr search function was integrated using Apache Solr for TYPO3 - Enterprise Search, Apache Tika for TYPO3 and Apache Solr for TYPO3 - File Indexing. Technical SEO implementation was carried out by embedding structured data in the Schema.org vocabulary. The product database for Bartec products was also set up within the system using TYPO3 and serves as the source for all product information.
Extensions were implemented with TYPO3 for job offers with an import function from softgarden and for contact management in the "BARTEC contacts" area.

There is also a blog extension that publishes the BARTEC magazine, as well as a news and press section.

For solving and implementing the challenges with TYPO3, we were honoured at the TYPO3 Conference 2023 with the TYPO3 Award 2023 in the "Industry" category for the website relaunch project for BARTEC Top Holding GmbH.
