Girls’ & Boys’ Day at dkd: A look into the world of digital agencies
Last month, things got a bit busier, a bit noisier and, above all, pretty exciting here at dkd: it was Girls’ & Boys’ Day! We were joined by two enthusiastic girls and a curious boy, who were given the chance to spend a day immersing themselves in our digital world.
And what can we say? The youngsters have really come through!
Building a website? It's on.
While many adults are still trying to figure out how a content management system works, our young participant got straight down to work: creating his own website using TYPO3.
With the help of modern AI tools, images were generated, wireframes and mock-ups were used as a basis, and a real website was developed step by step. Planning, design, implementation: it was all there. In short, the young man had a very productive morning.
Marketing, Content & Reel-Action
The two girls spent most of their time in our marketing department, where the motto was: get stuck in rather than just watching.
The first task was to gather content. So we busily took photos, filmed short videos and captured scenes. We also had some help from the website designer, as teamwork is, after all, a top priority for us.
Of course, this meant heading out into the open air, and out on the wide open spaces of Kaiserstrasse, we not only got some fresh air but also captured the skyline on camera.
Canva and creative minds
Armed with plenty of material, we then set about putting it all together: creating a Reel in Canva. After a brief introduction, there was a lot of experimenting, designing, moving things around, testing and laughing. Which music works best? Which colours really pop? Which elements make the Reel even better? The two girls threw themselves into it with boundless energy and clearly enjoyed the creative process.
AI Captions with Starfruit AI
As content creation is now almost unthinkable without smart tools, we also made use of our Starfruit AI features. We worked together to create prompts, test them and refine them until we had the perfect Instagram caption.

We are therefore delighted to be supporting this day. Who knows – perhaps the next female developer, content professional or AI expert was sitting in our office yesterday.
A wonderful day full of questions, creativity, great ideas and plenty of energy has come to an end. It was fun, inspiring and definitely not quiet ツ.
