5 Reasons Why We're Going to CMScamp Mallorca 2026

CMS, modern web architectures, AI, and plenty of opportunities for discussion: From September 23 to 25, 2026, the CMS community will gather at CMScamp Mallorca. dkd will be there, too. Here are five reasons why we’re looking forward to new perspectives, exciting conversations, and, of course, a little taste of Mallorca.

Mallorca, late September, right by the sea. At first glance, that sounds like a pretty good idea.
But of course, that’s not the real reason we’re heading to CMScamp Mallorca from September 23 to 25, 2026.

CMScamp Mallorca brings together people who work every day with content management systems, digital experiences, web development, and the question of what digital platforms will look like in the future.

And that’s exactly why we’re there. Well, okay, not the entire dkd crew ツ—but Anika, Head of Sales & Customer Development, will be representing us at CMScamp in Mallorca.

Here are our five reasons.

1. The CMS world is currently undergoing massive changes

For a long time, a CMS was the central hub for content, pages, and digital processes. But that role is changing.
Headless and composable architectures, specialized services, APIs, and, of course, artificial intelligence mean that we now have to think about content platforms in a completely different way.

These are precisely the questions that will be the focus of CMSCamp. One of the masterclasses, for example, will explore which tasks should still be handled by a CMS in the future and where specialized services or AI can be used more effectively.

This is particularly exciting for us because at dkd, we work extensively with modern web architectures, CMS, and AI.

2. The best insights often don't come on stage

Of course, we’re looking forward to the masterclasses and sessions.

But for us, the discussions in between are just as important.
How do other agencies tackle specific challenges? Which technologies really work well in real-world projects? Where are other teams currently hitting roadblocks? What experiences have people had with new CMS architectures or AI in day-to-day development?

You rarely come across conversations like this in documentaries or blog posts. The more in-depth, the better.

And that’s exactly what a community event like CMS Camp is perfect for.

3. A Barcamp is more in touch with real-world problems

At CMScamp, a large part of the program is developed collaboratively on-site.

This means that participants bring their own topics, questions, and experiences to the table.
As a result, sessions are created that address exactly the issues currently on the CMS community’s mind—rather than just topics that were planned months in advance for a conference agenda.

For us, this is a particularly exciting format.

Because we don't just want to listen—we want to discuss, share experiences, and bring our own questions to the table.

4. Many of these topics directly affect our day-to-day work right now

A quick look at the program makes it clear why CMScamp Mallorca is of interest to us.

Among other things, it involves:

And then, of course, there's Mallorca. ☼

This year, CMScamp will take place at the Meliá Palma Marina, right on the harbor in Palma and just a few minutes from the Old Town. But for us, a change of scenery means more than just sun and sea.
Stepping away from meetings, tickets, and the daily grind of projects often creates exactly the space where new ideas take shape. Three days of learning together, discussing, getting to know people, and talking about the future of our industry—and then, hopefully, returning to Frankfurt with plenty of new ideas.

For us, CMScamp is therefore one thing above all else: an opportunity to look beyond our own horizons. We want to listen, discuss, learn, share our own experiences, and find out which topics are really on the CMS community’s mind right now.

And since the whole event is taking place in Mallorca at the end of September, we certainly aren’t complaining. ☺
