Almost 40 years ago, in 1980, Hans Strothoff founded the MHK group in Frankfurt am Main. The best-known brand to date is the musterhaus küchen specialist store. Today, the MHK Group is a modern service provider and one of Europe's leading associations for qualified medium-sized kitchen and furniture retailers. Requirement:
The client’s request was to migrate the existing website to TYPO3 using an existing content management system. A shop for display kitchens was also envisaged. In addition, certain interfaces were to be incorporated, such as the online kitchen planner.
This process was carried out in order to incorporate current trends, optimisations and new ideas.
Solution:
Technically, the site is based on the dkd standard package for TYPO3 version 8.7 and was built from scratch. The frontend is based on Bootstrap 4 with grid elements. dkdeploy was set up on the client’s infrastructure alongside GitLab and Jenkins.
Technical features:
Wizard: Bootstrap modal content element with a predefined number of questions.
Contact form: Page loaded via Ajax, accessible from any page on the site.
In addition, editorial staff training was provided. The design, editorial maintenance, as well as SEO and marketing measures were handled by the client themselves.
With MHK Kueche.de, we deliberately opted for an agile working method. The collaboration with the client was excellent. According to the client, such a good result could not have been achieved without an agile approach.
