SAMSON web shop for B2B customers in Germany

Requirements:

• Implementation of a Shopware 6 B2B web shop with migration of existing customers to the shop
• Interface to SAP: product synchronisation, customer synchronisation and order synchronisation
• Product configurator for finding products with the respective properties
• Matomo tracking
• Requesting quotations

Solution:

Working together with the customer, we used the Scrum method in one-week sprints, coordinating closely with the customer throughout. The e-commerce project was set up using the Shopware 6 (Enterprise Edition) e-commerce solution. The B2B Suite was used for this purpose. 
Furthermore, an interface to SAP was set up, which forms endpoints at various points in collaboration with Samson's SAP team. The interface to SAP for product synchronisation, customer synchronisation and order synchronisation includes a Shopware filter function, which we adapted for our own purposes so that a hierarchy can be created within the filters (from top to bottom). It can also be used to search for the right product.
The open source software Matomo is now used as a tracking tool to keep an eye on various website statistics.

The comparison list is a tool written specifically by dkd. It offers a comparison of product features and prices in a listing view. Offer simulations can also be accessed before each order to check stock levels and the customer's creditworthiness. The project was included in the SEO tool Seobility, revealing a number of editorial issues that needed to be optimised, which the customer was then able to rectify.
