TYPO3 website relaunch for the Casals Forum

In the third decade since its founding, Kronberg Academy has built its own home: the Casals Forum – a concert hall with first-class acoustics and facilities – as well as an affiliated study and administration centre.
The Casals Forum is an international centre of inspiration for musicians of all generations, where values are lived, experienced and passed on to the next generation in the spirit of Pablo Casals, who set standards with his passionate fight for peace and his deep connection to nature.

Challenge

In addition to relaunching the Kronberg Academy website, the Casals Forum website also needed to be relaunched. The Casals Forum website, which was powered by WordPress, was to be converted to a TYPO3 website. This website had previously been completely disconnected from the Kronberg Academy website. As a result, some content, such as the concerts in the concert calendar, had to be entered twice. The idea and hope was to simplify this work with the website relaunch.

Solution

Since we were simultaneously rebuilding the Kronberg Academy website and implementing person and event functionalities there as well, it made sense to transfer the Casals Forum website to TYPO3 as well. This has the advantage that all functions, features, and data output options are also available on the Casals Forum website. This means that people and events can now be managed in a single TYPO3 instance. They can be displayed on different pages as required.

Only a few key colours were adjusted for the design, so that the websites can be easily distinguished from one another.
To relieve the customer during the livegang process, we took over a large part of the content maintenance.
