Challenge
Our customer's existing static Solution Wall was to be replaced by a new solution that could be maintained by the customer: the PV System Configurator. The Solution Walls serve as virtual exhibition walls that showcase various shop products from BayWa r.e. Solarhandel. Selecting a product from the home and commercial storage range generates a display of all matching products.
Solution
The project was composed of three components:
Solution Wall Editor
Vue.js application for creating and managing solution walls.
Here, the editor is integrated into TYPO3 pages as a plugin, retrieves the product, category and wall data via a REST API provided by TYPO3, and uses it to store the created walls.
Solution Wall Viewer
Vue.js application for displaying solution walls. The viewer is integrated into TYPO3 pages as a plugin and obtains its data via REST API.
TYPO3 Backend
The Solution Wall Extension, which provides the API, plugins and data sets, and a product importer that regularly imports products from the OXID shop. Excellent communication within the project team led to a successful completion of the project, and this was achieved under budget.
