Database application | Regulatory database for Allen & Overy LLP

Requirement:

The requirement was for an easy-to-use database application in which clients and employees could search for regulations specifically relating to (European) financial markets. Changes and new entries should be editorially markable, and individual standards should be expandable with comments. Registered users should be able to manually navigate and search through a tree structure comprising several thousand entries and ultimately be redirected to the linked standard text.

Solution:

To develop and implement an operating concept as a further development of the existing database, a new interaction design was first created with a clear focus on usability. The responsive implementation of the regulatory database was carried out in TYPO3 with t3quick. The actual database was implemented in the backend using Solr for TYPO3 and in the frontend using JavaScript, including a frontend login. Several thousand entries and inventory data were imported during development. Following implementation, editor training was provided at the customer's request.
